  I agree with frog here regarding reporting "alleged" paedophiles. You could inadvertantly destroy someones life based on a stupid rumour ! Shit like this sticks, accuse someone of fiddling with kiddies and even though it might be completely untrue that rumour will follow them for the rest of their lives.

  This is heading down a very dangerous path. Just for one minute think of the repercussions in your life if someone started a rumour like this about you and it ended up on a site about perverts that abuse kids. Not a very pleasant thought is it.

  i loved it.

  once, when i was about 22 we were building the kh south of santa barbara in carpinteria.

  As I was a professional builder back when I was in I worked on a few Quick Builds and was even involved in a bit of a local stink on a QB once.

  Being a self employed builder you tend to get to know all the other local builders that are in the "truth". At one ti, me or another you'll end up working with them or for them. Its a small community within a small community.

  The general feeling among professional builders on Quick builds is that they should be left up to the professionals. You might not hear that being said out loud but i knew enough brothers in the building trade to know what the general attitude was. Most of the time the other brothers and sisters at best got under your feet and at worse cocked up the job they were given to do. Personally I hated working my balls off only to look up and catch two sisters in their "dirty workman clothes", wellies and hard hats standing around gassing.

  I was on one QB, the weather wasn't good and the job wasn't going well, there was a lot of grumbling among the professional building brothers about people getting in the way, elders barking orders and giving orders outta their butts. Eventually one builder a brother who gave a lot of work to other builders lost his patience and chucked his tools in his bag and left. As he had taken other builders / brothers in his van he took them off too. This had a really bad effect on the moral of the other local professional building brothers and one by one they all began to sulk off leaving it to the part timers.

  A couple of weeks later we had a local needs talk about brotherly love, the joy of serving Jehovah on a quick build and about being patient with those less skilled but just as eager to serve on a quick build.

  Death of a laptop

  well, i went ahead and killed my laptop.

  unfortunatly i didn't use a shotgun or a assault rifle, i used a .45 automatic pistoli .

  its not as dramtic as i had hoped but its still felt really good killing that thing.

  I should add that those exhibits are TINY, the stone tablet is no more than 2.5 inches high, the writing on it is minuscule.

  The "Letters" are the remains of a pot. The writing was written onto the side of a pot for some strange reason and these pieces measure no more that 4 inches across.

  Unfortunately both pieces are easily missed amongst all the other stuff in their cases.

  i did something smart lol!

  firstly talking respecfully to my mum got further than shouting so now the last ideas.... firstly i e-mailed the british musuem, ask about their tours, information on things they have on the site and all that.

  this will enable me to take mum there and show her the truth.. secondly and finally i've decided i want to contact the united nations.

  There are some things i need to prove to my mum, here they are...

  Firstly the Cuneiform tablet with part of the Babylonian Chronicle (605-594). Before i discuss this with mum i need to know that this is accepted FACT and nothing will change what it says or affect its content. For example the Jehovah's Witnesses have a book called 'Insight into the Scriptures' and there is a picture of the same tablet with different dating which of course is cause for concern. Lets say i wanted to come down to the Museum with my mum and show her this tablet what will it say to disprove her date 607 BCE for Jerusalem's destruction?

  Here you go, Below is how the Tablet mentioned in the "Insight into the Scriptures" book is displayed at the British Museum as of 23 March 2006. Interestingly Enough some idiot at the WTBTS graphic design dept has not only got the tablet upside down but back to front, so the text reads the wrong way.

  

  Then the two Lachish Letters. These prove the date to NOT be 607 BCE?

  The reason i am asking for more details is because i intend to come down to the M useum at some point. Are there any other things at the Museum that will prove the date of Jerusalem's destruction by the Babylonians in 586/7 BCE?
